| MATARROMERA WINERY |
The most significant backgrounds are located in the plantations, carried out by the Cistercian monks who arrived in Valbuena de Duero in the twelfth century and built the Monastery of Santa Maria Valbuena. An architectural jewel of that time and a permanent memory of history. The monks brought different varieties from France. They adapted them to the region and improve the methods of winemaking, something that has become the current philosophy.
