Matarromera launches Emina Gewurztraminer white wine

The first Gewürztraminer around Duero area is already on the market. Matarromera Group has just launched Heredad de Emina Gewürztraminer, the first white wine fully developed with this variety in the entire region.

Created in its entirety with Gewürztraminer grapes from Emina vineyards in Villalba de Adaja (Valladolid), this wine lands on the market to increase the wide range of wine references belonging to Group Matarromera.

Heredad de Emina Gewürztraminer has some peculiarities that make him a unique wine. Besides being the first made with this variety in the entire area of the Douro, its vineyards are the most west of this variety in Europe, which gives optimal conditions for their development and care. This is a planting plot, sandy and clayey soil, and whose yield is 5000 vines per hectare.

Emina Gewürztraminer wine is a pale straw yellow with a steely glare, clean and bright. On the nose, white flowers (acacia flower), roses and jasmine, are assembled with aromas of tropical fruits (pineapple) and a background aroma of citrus (grapefruit, lime) and spicy flavours (clove, nutmeg). Half structure, perfectly balanced between alcohol and acidity, medium persistence.

Heredad de Emina Gewürztraminer, presented as a great novelty in the last edition of Madrid Fusion, adds to the wide range of wines produced at Emina winery in Medina del Campo: Emina Rueda, Emina Verdejo, Emina Sauvignon, Emina Semidulce, Emina Sparkling Brut Nature, Sparkling semiseco Emina and Heredad de Emina Chardonnay.
