Matarromera, Great Wines from the Duero
A great book contains the structure of the company according to the vision of the best wine and gastronomic critics
Matarromera is one of the most important references at the national and international wine scene levels. Seven wineries, the distillery, its wine tourism project, olive oil or cosmetics make up a corporate structure unreachable for most of the companies in the sector.
Now all that organization led by Carlos Moro sees its reflection in the book "Matarromera, great wines from the Duero”, a publication created from the opinions of the greatest gastronomic journalist.
John Radford, Jose Peñin, André Domine, Federico Oldenburg, David Schwarzwälder, Fernando Lázaro, Teresa Pacheco or Cristina Rubio, among many others make up the galaxy of writers of this large format book preface by Javier Pérez Andrés.
Each one of these journalists has been commissioned to write an episode of "Matarromera, great wines of the Douro."
José Peñín, great reference in the sector in Spain, and the creator of, among others, the Peñín Guide and Sibaritas magazine, writes about Matarromera (DO Ribera del Duero).
André Domine, German journalist based in France, author of 13 books about wine, spirits and food is responsible for Emina Ribera del Duero and Distilleries del Duero chapters.
John Radford, perhaps the greatest British journalist with the best knowledge of Spanish wines, writes about Valdelosfrailes, Matarromera winery in Cigales PDO.
Federico Oldenburg, Argentine Swedish Gourmet journalist, and collaborator of many publications, has written about Cyan, Matarromera recently acquired winery in Toro PDO.
David Schwarzwälder is the author of the first guide of Spanish wines in Germany and also he was the first foreigner to get the Gold Award as the best Sommelier of Spain. In this book, he is responsible for Rento chapter (Ribera del Duero PDO).
Cristina Rubio, a journalist specializing in wine and gastronomy and a regular contributor to numerous publications, writes about Emina Rueda winery
Fernando Lázaro, El Mundo journalist and “Spanish Wines Tasting Guide” director writes about Emina Olive oil.
Teresa Pacheco, Tribuna Termal Magazine director, is responsible for drafting the chapter dedicated to cosmetics.
At the same time, Remi Sanz, Matarromera Group Communication Manager writes about Emina Oxto.
In addition, the book is prefaced by Javier Andrés Pérez, a great gastronomic reference in journalism in Castilla y Leon, land where Matarromera was born in 1988.
This is a book of great luxury and a co-ordinated by Lola Montilla and whose photographs are made by the prestigious photographer Luis de Pazos, one of the most important references in Spain.
"Matarromera, great wines from the Duero” has been published in Spanish and English, just to introduce, both in Spanish-speaking countries and elsewhere in the world, all the gear that makes up Matarromera´s current structure.
