Emina Prestigio 06 has achieved the Gold Medal in the 2009 Tempranillos al Mundo Contest, in the Contest held in Sweden from the 26th of May until the 29th. 

Organized by the Spanish Oenologists Associations Federation(FEAE), the fifth edition of this contest rewarded the quality of this wine made at Bodega Emina (DO Ribera del Duero) and belonging to Group Matarromera.

Elaborated with 100% Tempranillo grapes from one of the best plots of the area, this wine has been aged for 16 months in French Allier medium toast oak barrels.

On visual phase, it has high tones dominating purple colour with dark cardinal glints. On the nose, it is very intense and frank, with deep tertiary species tones, cloves and roasted nuts. On the palate it is broad with a remarkable structure of sweet tannins, with good sense of fruit aromas, long and persistent.


Thanks to this award, Emina Prestigio 06 has become one of the wines of reference in Ribera del Duero PDO.
