DILAB, Design Lab, has opened its doors to the public in Urueña, Valladolid, with the Di12 project, which, in collaboration with the Group Matarromera has created a limited edition of 211 bottles of Valdelosfrailes to celebrate its opening.
12 of the most prestigious Spanish designers have made their own design in the creation of a single wine, Valdelosfrailes Vendimia Seleccionada 2005. From each of these 12 designs a limited edition of 211 bottles has been created, for a total of 2532 bottles.
Valdelosfrailes Vendimia Seleccionada 2005 is developed at Valdelosfrailes winery, Cigales PDO. Made with 100% Tempranillo grapes from Matarromera vineyards, it has been aged in American oak barrels for 12 months.
Labels reproduce twelve different designs that 12 designers have created with the number 211, the mile in the A6 Highway were Urueña is located.
The renowned designers who have participated this limited edition are:
Rafael Celda, Pepe Cruz Novillo (National Design Award 1997), Manuel Estrada, Mario Eskenazi (National Design Award 2000), Isidro Ferrer (National Design Award 2002), Pepe Gimeno, Jorge Lorenzo, Oscar Marine, Daniel Nebot (Award National Design 1995), Carlos Rolando (National Design Award 2005), America Sanchez (National Design Award 1992) and Roberto Turégano.
This initiative, driven by designer Miryam Anllo, responsible for DILAB, unite for the first time in Castile and León great professional designs with an exemplary wine producing company in this community (both for its wines and for its commitment to design).
The case of 12 bottles (one bottle of each design) contains a signed and numbered certificate inside, and its price is 120 euros (VAT included). It Will be available at DILAB Gallery, in Urueña, Valladolid (Tel. 983 717 515) and at different Matarromera stores. Moreover, it will be soon purchased in different stores of national contemporary art museums and other special stores.
With the launch of this edition Matarromera Group consolidates its relationship with the art, participating once again in various cultural projects.
