MATARROMERA CONSTRUCTS THE EUROPEAN LARGEST MOLECULAR DECONSTRUCTION BUILDING

Matarromera Group has recently started at its headquarters in Valbuena de Duero the construction works of the largest Molecular Deconstruction Building in Europe, a project which envisages a total investment of 2.3 million Euros and which will be a milestone pointer in the Spanish and world food industry.

The project implementation will have two phases: the first one, ending in September 2010, when the new plant could start its business activity, and the second one, at the end of this year, when the building is completely finished, and therefore working at full capacity.

The building will have an area of 1,500 meters and is located in the Emina Wine Interpretation Centre (Valbuena de Duero, Valladolid). The location of the building is situated next to the Emina Emina, the restaurant La Espadaña of San Bernardo and Distilleries del Duero, also belonging to the Matarromera Group.

The project in its first phase, has been supported by European Agricultural Guarantee Fund of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Government of Castile and Leon, with the aim of strengthening and diversifying the regions of the community affected by the restructuration of the sugar industry.
The features developed in this plant will be mainly the molecular deconstruction of food products, mainly wine-based drinks, a field in which Matarromera has a lot of experience, thanks to Eminazero and Eminasin products.

With this investment, many jobs will be created in a rural setting such as the lower Duero.

With the construction of this future building Matarromera Group is committed to promoting R + D + i, in which it is the absolute leader in its sector, and it will also be commitment to the environment, since the new building will continue the same criteria for energy efficiency and renewable energy continued use, as in the other Matarromera production centers.

In that sense, the translucent roof and solar panels for energy production will ensure energy self-sufficiency, as occurs in Bodega Emina, First Integral Sustainable Development Project in the wine sector.
