Grupo Matarromera ha organizado el I CONCURSO VINESENTI en la Escuela Internacional de Cocina de Valladolid en el que los cocineros de doce prestigiosos restaurantes de la ciudad y alrededores han competido por la mejor tapa elaborada con VINESENTI, el extracto polifenólico de uva para alta cocina, un producto que ya está distribuyendo J. Gil Distribuciones S.L. en Valladolid y en otras provincias de Castilla y León.

Frente a un jurado compuesto por representantes de la Escuela Internacional de Cocina, la Academia de Gastronomía de Valladolid y diferentes medios de comunicación locales, los concursantes han presentado sus platos elaborados con VINESENTI destacando las propiedades que confiere este ingrediente potenciando los sabores de los alimentos, aportando color, texturas y aromas.

OLIDUERO launches Oliduero Extra Virgin Olive Oil "First Press", the first extra virgin olive oil produced in the newly built OLIDUERO olive oil mill located in Medina del Campo. It is a premium extra virgin olive oil obtained from the Arbequina, Picual and Arbosana olive juice.The olive harvest of 3,700 kilos was made in early days, on October 23rd and 24th, only by mechanical means, thus preventing fruit drop to the ground, and cold extraction to maintain its high organoleptic properties. It has produced a limited production of 500 bottles of 0.5 L in glass bottle that can be purchased in gourmet and specialty stores and the stores of Matarromera Group or the shop online www.matarromerashop.com.

OLIDUERO OLIVE OIL MILL RECEIVES THE FIRST HARVEST

MATARROMERA moves forward in its diversification as a leading food company in Spain with great environmental sensitivity in its performances. Following its strategy in this field, has created the first organic olive oil mill in the province of Valladolid to produce OLIDUERO, Matarromera’s premium extra virgin olive oil. The factory, set up in just four months, receives its first crop of olives for the first extra virgin olive oil produced in an organic factory in Valladolid.In this first harvest, OLIDUERO will receive 100,000 kilos of olives from its olive trees located in the provinces of Zamora and Valladolid. Arbequina (127 ac), arbosana (4 ac.) and Picual (42 ac): In one week the olive varieties were harvested. This first harvest will allow to produce 36,000 bottles of organic extra virgin olive oil.

This mill, built near EMINA Winery in Medina del Campo, has an annual production capacity of 450,000 kilos of olives to produce around 74,000 liters a year of extra virgin olive oil in its facilities, for producing Oliduero olive oils and also for others growers.Sustainability and innovationThe Oliduero mill, registered in the Organic Farming Scheme, incorporates many sustainable practices in their production processes: minimization and efficient use of resources and energy saving, with the focus on biomass from co-products such as olive pits.

MATARROMERA CHOSEN BY THE SPANISH MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS TO REPRESENT SPAIN AT THE UN

Matarromera was chosen to represent Spain at the Official Reception given by the Government of Spain to the 192 United Nations Delegations. This event was part of the campaign launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote the Spain’s candidacy to get a non-permanent seat of the UN Security Council for the biennium 2015-2016, position that they finally got.The reception was held on October 13th, at the Residence of the Spain’s UN Ambassador in New York and was hosted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Jose Manuel García Margallo. UN Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps of all States represented at the United Nations attended the event and got, as a special present, a bottle of Matarromera.

The election of the Matarromera winery, from the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero, is a recognition of excellence, and represents one of the most dynamic sectors of the Spanish economy. Spain is first wine producing country in the world, with the highest annual production and the biggest planted vineyard area.

THE MATARROMERA FOUNDATION COLLECTS 9.000 € FOR THE RED CROSS AND THE FOOD BANK

The Solidarity Project “Castilla y León is Wine, Art & Culture”, whose results have been presented at the Emina Winery, has collected 9.000€ for the Red Cross and the Food Bank.

Nine painters and nine poets have been the ones in charge of designing the labels of this limited edition of 900 wine bottles bought by entrepreneurs of Castilla y León during the presentation of the designs in the Emina Winery.

This project, developed by Matarromera Group and the newspaper El Norte de Castilla, aims to raise a total amount of 18.000€ that will be donated to these organizations.

The prestigious chef Mario Sandoval and the distinguished winemaker Carlos Moro have  launched a new line of products under the name 'VINESENTI by Carlos Moro & Mario Sandoval'. They have extracted the essence of the grapes to use it for cooking.VINESENTI uses grapes as its main raw material, and those grapes come from two Spanish regions with a long wine-making tradition: Ribera del Duero and Rueda.This product is of natural origin and high in antioxidants. It is the result of years of research in the laboratories of abroBiotec, a company from Valladolid (Spain) specialized in the biotechnology industry. They have over 500 hectares of vineyards which they care for with great effort in order to obtain fruits of the highest quality.
