The jury took into account the research of new channels of business that offers an alternative to the development of rural areas. Matarromera Group has been awarded with the prize “Premio Alimentos de España” given every year by the Agriculture, Food and Environment Ministery (Ministerio de Agricultura, Alimentación y Medio Ambiente) as a measure to promote Spanish food.
This award exists since 1987 and has been created in order to support Spanish agrifood sector and has contributed to increase the worldwide prestige of Spanish products.
The jury has valued the constant growth of Grupo Matarromera, its clear vocation to export, as well as its leadership in the promotion of Spanish Wine abroad.
